In January 2018, the maximum handicap a player is allowed in competitions has been increased to 54 shots. It had previously been 28 shots for men and 36 for women. This revolutionary decision on a global level, combined with our own ground-breaking coaching initiatives and our unique 9-hole “wee course” is proving very successful in encouraging girls and ladies of all ages to “have a go”.
For those more experienced golfers, we have a full golfing diary ahead. In addition to the monthly medal competitions, there are opportunities to play in a variety of relaxed, fun events. For those who enjoy visiting and playing other clubs, you can also take part in the Friendly League, the Glasgow South League and the higher level Greenlees team.
The Greenlees Golf Trophy is competed for annually by the member golf clubs of the West of Scotland Ladies Inter Club League. Our Whitecraigs team impressed us all by winning the Second Division Trophy in 2019 and promotion to the First Division.

Something for Everyone
The Ladies Section provides coaching opportunities for all levels. Have a look at the different
membership categories to see how you can progress at your own pace.
When you feel ready to become a Par 3 Associate for example, there are always lady members on hand to help you take the plunge on the “big course”, either on a one-to-one basis or via weekly Turn Up & Play sessions on a Monday or Friday. These sessions are part of our Golf Development Programme.
The key objective of these non-competition days is to provide opportunities for all members, not only to enjoy their golf, but to find friendship within the club.
