The Campbell Clock Sunday 5th September at 2pm
The Campbell Clock, donated by the late Lady Past Captain Leslie Campbell, will be played for in the annual Stableford competition held at Whitecraigs and organised by the Renfrewshire County Ladies’ Golf Association.
Entry forms are available in the junior room, the ladies locker room and the RCLGA junior website. The competition covers all categories of handicaps including girls without a handicap.
The event allows girls to meet players from other clubs and gives the County the opportunity to assess the girls with a view to organising winter coaching.

There are still 4 spaces (2 pairs) available for the annual gents Grand Match against East Renfrewshire at East Ren. Shotgun start 8.30am.

Information for all ‘Wee wonders’ and their parents.
The next coachiong session will take place on Sunday 18th July, from 11am-12 noon approx.
Please report to me at 10.50am at the clubhouse. At 11am, weather permitting, we will proceed to the Par 3 course. Latecomers will inform me of their attendance at the Par 3 course. Please take care when walking behind the 18th green and when crossing the 4th fairway.
Depending on the numbers of ‘wee wonders’ and coaches able to attend, it is hoped all children will have the chance to improve their putting, chipping and full swing.
It would be helpful if you could email me if you are able to attend.
Look forward to seeing you then.
Eddie.

Please note that the draws for the Club Championship, Veterans Club Championship, Young Seniors, McAulay Cup and Irvine Trophy are not on the noticeboard in the locker room.
Please note the following change to functions being requested at the Club.
The Club only grants requests for the use of the clubhouse from members.
In future the Downstairs Lounge will not be available for non club functions. The Upstairs Lounge and the Dining Room will still be available. The Club endeavours to ensure that there is always somewhere for members and their guests to be accommodated when there is a function on.
The Downstairs Lounge will be available for use by all members and their guests excluding Juniors who have their own room upstairs.
Please note the following changes to the noticeboard arrangements in the gents’ locker room.
A recent upgrade to the handicap software that the club uses has resulted in the telephone numbers being added to the knockout draw sheets. This benefit has been slightly countered by the sheets now being printed in A3 instead of A4 with a corresponding increase in the space being taken up.
To resolve this the main board in the gents’ locker room will now only contain handicap and competition notices and results.
The board previously used by the Senior Section will now contain general notices.
The Seniors Section notices will now be moved to the other end of the block of lockers from where the Seniors Section notices were previously housed.
The recent spell of good weather has brought out the perennial problem of the male dress sense.
As a result of this the committee advise of the following changes to the dress code at the club.
Tailored shorts may be worn in the clubhouse. Tailored shorts may also be worn on the course.
For the avoidance of doubt this does not include what my be called cargo shorts with numerous pockets.
When wearing tailored shorts either on the couse or in the clubhouse these must be worn with WHITE sports socks, not ankle socks or no socks at all as has sometimes been happening. White sports socks may be purchased in the Pro shop.
Saturday’s Jubilee Trophy was the second of three qualifying rounds for gross scores, Club Championship and Veterans Championship and net scores Young Seniors (25 and under), McAulay Cup (26 to 54) and Irvine Trophy
55 and over.
Best two out of three rounds to qualify with the June Medal on Saturday 19th June the final qualifier.
The qualifying scores after two rounds, both Gross and Net, can be found on MasterScoreboard on the Club’s website.
Any problems in accessing phone the office on 639 4530.
Leading Gross score Duncan Hall on 147 and leading Net score Andrew Watt on 135.
